The Alfalah Scholarship Scheme (AFSS) offers interest-free education loans to deserving and talented students across Pakistan. The program aims to support financially challenged yet ambitious youth who wish to pursue higher education and contribute positively to society. Through this initiative, AFSS enables students to continue their academic journey without financial barriers and empowers them to achieve their educational and career goals with dignity.
The AFSS Education Loan is not a conventional loan but a Qarz-e-Hasna—a trust-based educational support provided on merit and need basis. Recipients are expected to repay the loan after completing their studies and becoming financially independent, allowing the same funds to be recycled and benefit other deserving students in the future.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the AFSS Education Loan, applicants must meet the following conditions:
a. The applicant must be a regular student enrolled in a recognized educational institution in Pakistan.
b. Students of private colleges or universities charging annual fees above Rs. 200,000 are not eligible.
c. Applicants enrolled in distance learning programs, such as Virtual University or Allama Iqbal Open University, are not eligible.
d. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Pakistan and not studying abroad.
e. The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the most recent board or university examination. However, exceptions may be made in genuine hardship cases upon review.

- Prepare Required Documents
- Attested documents to be attached
- Photocopy of Self’s CNIC.
- Photocopy of Father’s/Guardian’s CNIC.
- 3 Recent Photographs.
- Photocopy of current Electricity Bill.
- Photocopy of Father/Mother/Brother/Sister’s Pension Book/Salary Slip.
- Photocopy of all previous exams’ result.
- Photocopy of fee slip (Last semester/year)
- Bonafide Certificate
- Stamp Paper
- Gurantee Cheque
- Submit the Application
