In 1998, a courageous group of compassionate educators witnessed a troubling pattern unfolding quietly across their Pakistani communities. Brilliant students — young minds filled with ambition, potential, and promise — were being forced to abandon their education.
Not because they lacked ability. Not because they lacked passion. But simply because they lacked money.
Talented boys and girls — some of whom could have been future scientists, leaders, artists, and innovators — found themselves standing at the crossroads of despair. Financial hurdles became insurmountable walls, blocking their paths to universities and professional careers.
To the founders of Alfalah Scholarship, this was more than an unfortunate situation. It was a national tragedy — a waste of priceless human potential.
And so, with courage in their hearts and a deep sense of duty in their souls, these educators decided to act. They came together, pooled their ideas, energies, and modest resources — and Alfalah Scholarship was born: an organization dedicated to hunting talent among the needy and empowering them to soar.
