It all began with a knock on my door in a brighten Year of 1998.

A young girl—bright, determined, yet burdened by life—had just passed her Intermediate exams and came seeking a teaching job. Out of curiosity, I asked her why she wasn’t continuing her studies. Her answer stunned me: she was an orphan, struggling to make ends meet.

That one conversation lit a fire.

I asked her to return with her mother the next day. I was determined to help. Just moments after she left, a friend called me from the U.S. I shared her story—and without hesitation, he sponsored her education on the spot. Funds were transferred the same day.

That act of kindness planted the seed for something far greater.

I discussed the idea with friends who ran educational institutions. We all agreed—why let poverty steal the dreams of brilliant minds? Thus, the Alfalah Scholarship Scheme was born, with a mission to fight national talent loss and empower the underprivileged.

We began in Tehsil Kharian, awarding scholarships to 46 deserving students in our very first year. That single spark has ignited a nationwide movement—5,632 bright students have completed higher education and are now uplifting their families and communities. Alfalah Scholarship now supporting 976 students from Intermediate to Postgraduate level—including those in Medicine and Engineering—regardless of caste, creed, color or any religious/political affiliation.

Our priority? Science and professional education—the backbone of progress.

At Alfalah Scholarship Scheme, we don’t give handouts—we give hope. We uplift the ultra-poor with dignity and purpose. Each scholarship is a step toward a more peaceful, educated, and just society.

But We Can’t Do It Alone.

To all Pakistani philanthropists at home and abroad: Join Alfalah Scholarship. This is not just charity—it’s nation-building. As the Holy Quran reminds us, “Allah changes not the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”

Let us change lives—together.

May Allah bless you all. Ameen
